Spott Raises $21M Series A to Bring Agentic AI to Recruitment Agencies

Backed by Balderton, we are rebuilding recruitment's operating system with a platform that learns how agencies operate.

Today we are announcing a $21 million Series A led by Balderton Capital, with Base10, Y Combinator and Fortino joining again. That brings the total we have raised to $24.2 million. We are using it to expand globally, go deeper on enterprise, and keep leading the recruitment industry on AI.

"Lander, Manu and Samuel understood this overlooked problem because they had seen its operational and commercial impact first-hand. They have combined that insight with the technical ambition to rebuild recruitment's core infrastructure, and the speed at which customers are adopting Spott shows they have built the solution this market has been waiting for."

Recruitment has outgrown its software

Recruitment is one of the largest professional services markets in the world, yet agencies still run on software from decades ago, relying on the recruiter to act as the integration layer. The best recruiters earn their fee on judgment - knowing who fits where, and convincing both sides. Today, that represents only 20% of the job. Sourcing, outreach, scheduling and keeping records current eat the rest.

Agencies have layered on separate point solutions to plug the gap, none of which talk to each other. The trade-off is the same inside every agency we have worked with - top billers don't waste time updating the CRM, so their knowledge stays in their head; the diligent recruiter does, and loses hours per week to admin. Either way, output scales only with headcount.

The rise of the AI-native ATS/CRM

An AI-native ATS/CRM needs a completely different foundation: one that gives teams full control over their data, the freedom to build their own systems on top, and the ability for humans and AI to work side by side. That is what we set out to build.

Spott turns calls, emails, CVs, years of conversation history into data that can be acted on. That is what makes an AI-native operating system for recruitment possible for the first time. It sees the full process, and learns how an agency's best performers operate: which opportunities they target, who they reach out to, how they present candidates - and applies that across the team.

We launched the core platform in late 2025. Since the start of 2026 our revenue has grown more than tenfold, and 500+ agencies now run on Spott. At H.W. Anderson, more than 100,000 dormant candidate profiles became searchable and recruiters began placing people they would have missed. Across our customers, placements are up by as much as 30%. CGP Group rolled out Spott to 200 people across 12 countries.

What comes next

We are using the funding to build out our teams in New York and Sydney, which already account for 20% and 15% of our revenue, and we will grow from 44 to more than 60 people by year-end. We are deepening our enterprise functionality for large, multi-country rollouts, and expanding our proactive agents to surface new insights from your data while there is still time to act.
